Description
Two 19th-century concealed tonsil lancets. Both likely English in orgin and mid-19th-century in date. The larger of the two is 8″ or 20cm in length. These should not be confused with tonsil guillotines, which were used to excise tonsils. Tonsil lancets were used to lance and drain tonsillar cysts and abcesses.
